okay, now I am confused....I think...no I kKNOW that I jsut saw chapter 12 over at that other board the road to nowhere that you invited me to.....so what do I
do....I come over here jumping out of my skin that I have two TWO UPDATES in one day from you. (you know if you were standing in front of me I would kiss you
right now.)

Okay, some thoughts here. First things first.....this is truly bothering me.
His jaw muscles ticked as he cursed his stupidity. This was exactly what he knew would happen if he moved too fast. He shouldn't have tried to kiss her; it was too soon in the game. It hadn't even been a part of his plan for the afternoon. He'd only intended to build on their attraction, pique her interest, and earn more of her trust. well, i wrote this and then it didnt show up so I am writing it again.... I am having a hard time with this.....

If only he'd stuck to his plan, Okay, I am disappointed that this is still a game to Jason. I thought he was falling for her. She will be devastated. I am hoping that Jason realizes that he truly is falling in love with her and finds a way to turn this around on Ric so that he is the cad and Elizabeth is the scorned woman. He can then be there to confront Ric, comfort her and then take her hand with family approval. Ric and Alexis need to be sequestered somwhere until they give in to their desires. Also, I hope Jason finds Sam McCall at the tavern and due to her similar features, realizes before it's too late that Elziabeth is the woman of his dreams. can't wait for the update to this tale. |

Okay, I think it's time I started lurking again. Here's why.....the last chapter was short and came almost instantly after Two Weeks.....therefore, my
theory is....you have more already written and just didn't want to put it out there for fear of Blue Haze overdoses by us addicts. LOL
I also think you were definitely setting something up in that last chapter. We all needed to know that although he attempted to go there, he didn't and we also needed to know that a) Jason without Liz is on a complete downward spiral and his heart is just now letting his head in on that fact (by way of his waking up in a pile of manure) b.) As I said before, you needed to remind us that Ric is scum with a capital SCUM....he's Richard Cranium (ie dickhead) because in Genteel society, he looks all nice and proper on the outside and we were getting dangerously close to thinking what a stand up guy he was. WELL HE'S NOT and chapter 15 reminded all of us o that fact. c) Elizabeth is realizing that society is not fair that she must marry a man she doesn't love in lieu of one she does all because Daddy set's up the marriages. Something tells me that the spitfire rebel is knocking on the door. okay, so....when should I really start trolling hourly for the next chapter? |

Fantastic update. Jason is putting the pieces together. I'm confident he'll find a way to thwart Ric's malicious plans. I thought your
characterization of Alexis as the condescending, judgemental Lady was both character and period appropriate. I find Alexis a bit too tightly wound and yet,
rather hypocritical in her words and actions. On the one hand, I think Alexis and Ric are a good match. On the other hand, I want Ric to suffer. To suggest
raping Elizabeth to dishonor her is despicable and he deserves a sinsiter fate.
I love Elizabeth. She has no clue about the plots playing out around her. But, she does know what she wants and she's going to take a shot. Given the period, this is quite brazen of her. And, it only makes me like her more. Hopefully, Jason won't deny his attraction and will give Elizabeth a chance. Not sure how they get past the whole set-up thing, but I have faith you'll find a way to bring them together in the long run. Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward to reading more! |
