OK, i have my guesses.
Helena made him leave because if Nic couldn't have her she wanted Liz to not get what she wanted or for Jason to win. So either she saw them and threaten to expose them or she found out about Jason and used that to get him to leave. I just don't see Patrick doing it. I also don't see Liz marrying Patrick and hurting Robin. I see Jason off somewhere with Johnny who has probably not enjoy the company of a bitter man who no doubt convinced himself he wasn't good enough anyways. I see Jason angry and drunk and reckless and quite the handful for Johnny. I see Liz leaving town buying a gold band and pretending her husband died. I see a repeat of the past. Liz like Susan working hard to give her son a good life. I don't see Jason finding out about baby until after he is born and probably a few years old. It will kill him to realize he walked away from not only her but his child. A child who is a bastard because he walked away. I see lots of loathing by Jason for doing to her what was done to his mother. I see him running into her my accident and her sending him away without saying a thing about the child. She has a right to be angry but somehow he will learn the truth and it will crush him and he will have to decide to fight for her or wallow and hide. I see the little boy either running to his mother or someone bring him to her and that is how Jason finds out. Lots of angst and drama but still two people who love either other so much.
